The Benefits of Pediatric Dentistry
Pediatric dental services are a branch of dentistry that deals with the oral health care of children, from birth to adolescence. Under pediatric dentistry, children with special needs are also treated with exclusive care. Children nowadays are exposed to various tooth diseases such as tooth decay, gum infection, tooth infection, and others. There are many reasons why your little one may fall prey to them – poor oral care, consumption of sugary and starchy food, and skipping dental cleanings, to name a few.

Dental Fillings
Your little one’s teeth are prone to decay. And if this is not addressed on time, the decay may lead to cavities. We use dental fillings to treat the decay and cavity and restore the functionality and appearance of your child’s teeth.
The procedure starts with numbing their infected teeth, after which we remove decay and infection from the area. Once the decay is removed, we will use materials like ceramic, porcelain, or silver amalgam to fill the cavity.
Dental Cleanings
Dental cleanings constitute one of the essential parts of pediatric dental services. Visiting our clinic for regular dental cleaning of your little one ensures that their teeth remain free from bacteria and germs. This procedure also removes the accumulation of plaque and tartar from their teeth and gum line, thus keeping them clean. Dental cleaning involves scaling and root planing. We recommend bringing your little one twice a year for this treatment to maintain their dental hygiene.
Tooth Extractions
Children sometimes require tooth extraction during their growing years, especially when their teeth get so severely infected that no other procedure could save them. Another reason for tooth extraction in children is when they do not have enough room in their mouth for the new teeth to erupt. We perform both simple and surgical extraction on your little ones. Before the procedure, we give them sedation so that the treatment is carried out comfortably.
Dental Crowns
Dental crowns are the cap-like structures that we place on your child’s teeth in case of chipped, cracked, or broken teeth. Crowns also come as a rescue when their teeth are severely infected. The application of crowns restores and renews their badly damaged teeth. They can be made using any one of several materials, with ceramic being the most popular choice.
